Taipei Artist Village was established by The Department of Cultural Affairs of Taipei City Government on 12 October 2001, and has implemented art and cultural exchange programmes with relevant institutions in over 30 countries.
Art Next 2017 is pleased to announce its collaboration with Taipei Artist Village for establishing a 3-month residency scheme as one of the prizes of the “2017 Art Next International Artists Awards”. The prize will be open for interested artists who participate in the Expo to apply.
The prize will offer the awardee a 3–month residency at Taipei Artist Village in 2018, at which includes a studio with living and working space, logistic supports in organising activities such as open day, talks and workshops, as well as round-trip tickets. It is also set to provide the awardee an opportunity for an experience exchange with the onsite artists from different cultural backgrounds and regions.
The selection of the residency prize will be carried out at the venue of Art Next Expo in October 2017. Representatives of Taipei Artist Village will attend the Expo in person to decide the prize-winner from the onsite artists. Awardee will participate in the residency scheme at Taipei Artist Village in 2018.
Located at No. 7 Beiping E. Rd., Taipei, Taiwan, Taipei Artist Village was once an office building of Taipei City Government. It was then transformed to Taipei Artist Village, as established by The Department of Cultural Affairs of Taipei City Government, in 12 October 2001. A range of facilities is available at Taipei Artist Village, including a piano room, a dark room and living quarters and studios for 13 artists.
The upcoming Art Next Expo and International Artists Awards will be held at PMQ, Central, Hong Kong from 6 October to 9 October 2017. Interested artists are advised to apply for the Expo and Awards on or before 30 April. For details, please refer to the website and Facebook page of Art Next Expo.
